The Rio is known for their rooms, their buffet and the Masquerade show in the sky.

The Rio's atmosphere is excited with activity especially at night around the craps table. That elevated feeling carries over into the Masquerade Village, which has a stage show and the parade in the sky event throughout the evening.

The rooms are spacious over 600 square feet and they are all suites. There is a nice sectional couch in the room a larger TV and a great bathroom space and changing area. One thing no one tells you is that there is a window in the shower so you can see the view, TV or what other people are doing while you are taking a shower. The room also has windows across one wall with a great view of either the mountains or the strip. We recommend staying in the Masquerade Tower strip, so you are on the outside of the curve of the hotel, which makes the room bigger.

Did I mention the Buffets? The Carnival World Buffet is Huge! There should be something to eat for everyone. We get there right before the change from lunch to dinner, to save a few dollars.

The Village Seafood Buffet has all you can eat lobster tail, shrimp, seafood stir fry and great desserts. Get there early the line can get pretty long.


Penn and Teller
Penn and Teller put on a great show. It is well worth the money. Penn and Teller go through a whole routine about how simple magic can be. But do not let that line fool you, they are masters of magic.

Penn can pull of card tricks like no other. He has had a deck of cards in his hands since he was a kid. He can tell you if a deck is missing cards just by the weight.

We had a chance to meet both Penn and Teller and they are very welcoming and funny.

While you are there check-out the new Vince Neil Tattoo Studio at The Rio. VNI at the Rio is Motley Crue’s front-mans second tattoo studio. It is locate at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.
